This lecture recital combines live performances, storytelling, archival material, and readings from personal letters and texts to illuminate the unique artistic world of Latvian composer and pianist Lūcija Garūta. Through her songs and piano works, as well as music by composers who influenced her, the program explores Latvian musical traditions and broader European cultural influences. Performers: Alice Dreier, soprano, and Jou-Yu Shieh, piano. The event is organized by the Institute for Equality and Gender Studies at Universität Mozarteum.
