Laura Zarina (violin) and Agnese Eglina (piano) bring an exceptional duo programme to Frankfurt with Echoes of Latvia: music by Latvian women composers from two centuries, ranging from the lyrical intensity of Lucija Garuta to clear, contemporary voices such as Selga Mence, Dace Aperane, Ruta Paidere, Anna Veismane, Sabine Kezbere, and Renate Stivrina.The concert creates an arc between memory and the present, between poetic miniature and contemporary pulse — intimate, expressive, and focused in chamber music form.Zarina and Eglina shape this into a musical dialogue in which sound, identity, and stories meet. Echoes of Latvia reveals how diverse and immediate Baltic sound worlds can feel today — and why these works deserve their place on international stages.The audience is invited to enjoy a Latvian afternoon refreshment on site at 3:00 PM and, after the 75-minute concert, to stay for a glass of sparkling wine.
